We were so lucky to be a part of Becca & Corey’s wedding. Becca is the resident wedding planner at Beatnik Studios (our venue), owner of Events By Rebecca, and our friend, making her decision to host her wedding at Beatnik and to hire us to photograph it incredibly humbling. The first four images are my favorites from the day and the following are close seconds. Find the full list of contributors who made this day incredible at the end of the post. Each talented business involved in this wedding made the day a beautiful experience. Becca is inspired and her design choices made Beatnik feel elegant and simple, soft but powerful, intricate yet timeless, my favorite decor at Beatnik Studios to date. Becca chose linens from La Tavola – our favorite linen house – so buttery soft. Becca’s team at EBR did an incredible job executing Becca’s vision and were so easy to work with.

Becca and her bridal party got ready at the Sawyer Hotel where the light is stunning. The photograph of her (in her vintage gown) is taken in the bathroom in front of a huge frosted window. Love, love, love the Sawyer. And Beatnik. I can’t say enough about how much I love this place. Lindsay has put her heart and soul into the building and business and you can feel it. And the light there? Magic. The Beatnik representative taking care of everyone was Maddie and she made it so we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

It’s pretty dreamy to be able to photograph a wedding planner’s wedding because they end up choosing people like Erin from Scarlett & Grace. She created towers of flowers and I couldn’t tear myself away. Each flower she placed was so unique and pretty as could be and the way they flowed together was exquisite. The pampas grass on the tables brought such a softness to Beatnik’s hard edges which I adored. Erin made me realize that quantity of floral is second to creativity. Gorgeous Erin-GORGEOUS!! We’ve worked with Erin on a number of weddings and events and with each one, she brings it.

All Seasons All Reasons is Beatnik’s preferred caterer and there are so many reasons why. To put it simply, the owners and the team members really care about their clients and it shows. Their work ethic is impeccable and the food is fresh, delicious and beautiful. They provided a charcuterie table for apps to start and salad and pizza for the main. I don’t eat gluten or cheese but when All Seasons is in the house, I eat the pizza and suffer the consequences! They also managed to bring Becca and Corey In&Out burgers at the end of the night cementing the fact that they are the best caterers in the history of food service.

And then there’s Joe with Deborba Events-a DJ who will spin your socks off. We can’t take killer dance photos if people aren’t dancing and Joe knows how to get butts on the floor and keep them there. He also brought these incredible sparkler towers to surprise Becca and Corey and they are so cool (serious wordplay here because they are actually cool-they don’t emit heat and you can light them off anywhere near anyone because they won’t burn. It’s like magic!).

When you’re thinking about the people you are going to choose for your wedding, make sure they do quality work, but more importantly, make sure you like them as people. You’ll be spending one of the most important days of your life with them and if you choose wisely, they’ll do almost anything to make your day incredibly special. We can’t say enough wonderful things about this team of contributors. When the couple has a magical day, so do we. And speaking of magical, we nearly cried tears of joy when Becca insisted we go through the dinner line first. No one has ever. So much love for you all!
